piratiopiratio · docker · raspberry
I started a new Project: piratio.
Piratio is basically a Raspberry Pi based WiFI Internet Radio. What makes it special is that it doesn’t use Raspbian but HypriotOS, which includes Docker.
So, why would someone build an Internet Radio with Docker support? Reason is that I recently discarded my Intel NUC, since I moved most of the Services it served into the Net. Only some IOT Hub stuff was left. Here Docker comes into play…
2nd reason: I want to see how good docker copes with non-network devices when it comes to containerisation ( IO pins, …)
Here’s a small test rig to play a bit around. Basically, a:
- Raspberry PI 3
- Hifiberry AMP+ Amplifier ontop
- Visaton FR10 broad band speakers
- 12V/4A power supply ( Raspberry is powered by the Hifiberry board, thus the high voltage…)
- 20x2 OLED Display
